PALAMUTBUKU
From our quiet cove we sailed south and east to the ancient town of Knidos. We visited the ruins. Some excavation and restoration was being done. Pieces of carved marble columns were arranged for reconstruction. Parts of walls and amphitheatre were exposed. But these could only be a suggestion of the thriving seaport that used to exist. later we sailed further east along the Turkish coast to Palamutbuku. Where Symi had been bustling with shops and tourists, Palambutku was quiet. Andrea visited a market and asked the owner to recommend a place for dinner. He recommended his daughter's restaurant down the street, an excellent choice as it turned out. Paul and Corinne left to visit friends for the evening.
